An exciting opportunity exists to join the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water, Program Management Office. As the Program Manager within the Program Management Office, you will be a member of a fast paced, progressive, and fun team that works collaboratively to achieve program objectives. As a newly formed team, together we have the opportunity to build a strong foundation, test out innovative ideas and be creative in how we can achieve high quality outcomes together.

Working within the Program Management Office team, this position will include:

• Management of programs and/or projects that could include (but not limited to):
- Significant business change/process improvement projects.
- Digitally enabled business change projects and programs.
- Strategic procurement projects.
- Project management of new projects as they are launched following through with effective, efficient, and supportive handover arrangements to the incoming Project Manager.
- Working collaboratively with Project Managers to support Project Management of at/risk high profile projects.

• Lead, influence and contribute to the successful delivery of program/s and projects in accordance with DRDMW project and program management governance and delivery frameworks based on Prince2, Agile and MSP methodologies.

• Proactive leadership for project and program delivery through effective, timely and efficient status reporting, scheduling, change, communication, scope, risk, issue, cost, quality assurance, lessons, benefits management, reporting, tracking, monitoring, and escalations.

• Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of complex Program and Project reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and correspondence for consideration by senior management and executive management.

• Facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the department, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.

• Exercise judgement, authority, and high-level influence to effectively coordinate the management of divisional requirements and competing priorities.

• Build and manage positive working relationships and partnerships with colleagues and with other levels of government, industry, and non-government organisations to achieve Program and Projects outcomes and deliver on
Government commitments.

• Represent the RWFP vision and the department's vision, values and strategic agenda with clients, stakeholders, and external organisations and other State and Commonwealth agencies.

• Contribute to departmental resource prioritisation processes to deliver on Program and Project outcomes.

• Coordination of Project and Program Planning and Program Funding arrangements, pipeline prioritisation and forecasting.

• Coordinate business continuity planning for Projects and Program to support successful delivery.

• Mentor, coach and provide advice and guidance to Project and Program staff as it relates to development Program and Project Management skillsets.

• Seek continual improvement through lessons learned feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
