About the role


Woollahra Council has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Economic Development Coordinator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.


Reporting to the Manager Strategic Planning & Place, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders including Councillors, business associations, local traders and residents to research and strategically implement innovative economic development activities to support small business in the community.


About you


We are looking to engage a professional who has all the skills and attributes necessary to deliver for our community.

Your knowledge of State and Federal economic development strategies and project management experience skills will be highly valued.

You will be a high achiever meeting the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated high level skills and experience managing projects involving wide-ranging stakeholders and engagement, and managing consultants.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise initiative and sound judgement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Research and analysis skills, particularly as applicable to small business and economic development.
  • Commitment to the provision of quality customer service, both internal and external.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with a high degree of flexibility and confidentiality in a changing workplace environment.
  • Outcome driven and strong ability to work with mínimal supervision and to be motivating to self and others.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health and Safety principles.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Council's corporate values.
  • Current class C driver's licence.
