About the role

Due to an internal promotion, we're seeking a QLD State Sales Manager to help deliver long-term profitable growth for the Cabot's business. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this leadership role is responsible for coaching and developing the sales team and accountable for managing sales revenue with our business with Bunnings, Mitre 10, Inspirations and Dulux Trade.

This role will see you analysing market, channel and customer sales data to ascertain better insights and establish an informed position whilst executing national programs against fixed cost budgets. Pivotal to your success in the role will be your ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships with stores and with the Area/State Management teams (in particular with our Channel Business Managers) and act as the escalation point for any queries.

Responsibilities

  • Build the capability of the team through injecting new talent, developing current employees and identifying and accelerating high potential talent
  • Ensure team effectively use sales tools (data and CRM)
  • Ensure the state/region delivers required full year sales budget and other KPIs
  • Add value to customer interactions through category growth and win/win mindset

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and previous experience in commercial, sales, marketing and/or leadership role
  • Coaching and people development skills
  • Customer and account management experience
  • Previous category management experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Solid analytical skills
