About the role:


You will manage the mechanical planning for down days and shutdowns for the Rolling Mill, collaborating with Management, Production, Planning Team, and the Maintenance Scheduler.

Key duties;

  • Develop and track planning and scheduling of preventative and corrective maintenance activities
  • Ensure Contractors comply with all safety standards and allocate
  • Initiate the repair and/or purchase of spares & monitor inventory to maintain equipment reliability and minimise holding costs.
  • Technical support regarding mechanical maintenance standards on daytoday projects
  • Identify short to longterm improvement opportunities regarding the plant's reliability and asset management
  • Develop and maintain asset strategies.
  • Develop and maintain isolation plans.
  • Process contractor invoices.

About your experience:


You are a strong influencer with attention to detail, with experience in Mechanical Maintenance planning or ready to take a step from a Trades role to specialise in planning.


You will also have:

  • Mechanical Trade qualifications
  • Experience with SAP or other CMMS planning systems
  • Manufacturing, heavy industry or mining industry experience
  • Contract management and spares management is highly regarded.
  • Experience in scoping work (under planned and emergency conditions) is highly regarded
  • Scoping and estimation skills is highly regarded
  • Proficiency in Risk Assessment is highly regarded
