This exciting role as Park Specialist II involves helping park visitors create unforgettable experiences in the state parks of Arkansas. You'll play a vital role in connecting people with the natural beauty and rich history of the region. Your responsibilities will include researching, promoting, and leading a variety of outdoor programs, such as guided hikes, talks at the amphitheater, kayak tours, and more. Additionally, you'll assist with park operations, including visitor interactions, phone inquiries, registration, sales, and maintenance tasks. The specific programs and tasks may vary depending on the park.

  • Duration: Positions last from 3 to 9 months
  • Schedule: Flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Qualifications: Minimum of two years of college education in a related field
  • Preferred: Previous experience in public speaking, interpretive methods, and outdoor activities
