About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned sales professional ready to take on a fresh challenge in a growing and forward-thinking company. As our Area Sales Manager - Hardwoods, you will report to our General Manager of Sales & Distribution, providing top-notch customer service through advanced sales and technical support to clients in Southern and Western Sydney, Wollongong, NSW South Coast, and the ACT regions. This full-time role involves establishing, cultivating, and nurturing positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. On average, you will visit regional customers around 10 days per month.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering crucial financial results for the sales territory, encompassing revenue, pricing, and margins.
  • Adjusting sales strategies based on field interactions and outcomes.
  • Formulating and executing territory action plans by analyzing various data sets, such as MTD sales, volume forecasts, personal efficiency, CRM contributions, market intelligence, product issues, etc.
  • Compiling territory reports that highlight sales performance, target accounts, major product & project achievements, buying groups, etc.
  • Effectively utilizing and managing the CRM database for tasks like call handling, lead generation, Key Account Planning, and general utilization.
  • Regularly updating and overseeing key account plans for customers.

To excel in this position, you should have:
  • Considerable experience and a demonstrable track record of success in a similar sales capacity.
  • Previous engagement in sales management within the Timber, Building, Construction, or Trade sector is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational abilities are a must.
  • Capability to operate within budget constraints and achieve set goals and objectives.
  • Proficiency in the complete Microsoft Office suite and prior exposure to CRM systems are advantageous.
