The opportunity

  • First Page is looking for a handson Accounts Receivable Specialist/Office Admin to join our finance team who will thrive in a fast paced and busy environment. This is a newly created role for the team's expansion

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee and manage accounts receivable.
  • Communicate any discrepancies with the team, and investigating these to resolve them
  • Identify customers who are late to pay and recommend strategies for collection
  • Build relationships with clients to prevent future late payments
  • Maintaining the database and accurately updating it to provide correct reporting and balance sheets
  • Find ways to optimise and streamline the AR process as well as keeping up to date with any legislation or regulatory changes
  • Provide support to internal or external audits
  • Purchasing items for the office
  • Attending to and sorting through deliveries
  • Restocking food supplies around the office
  • Other ad hoc projects as and when required and answer the clients' queries

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 2 years' work experience in Financial Accounting or Accounts Receivable role is required (preferably in a fastgrowing business)
  • CA/CPA membership or equivalent or working towards
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly to all levels within in the business.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to resolve competing priorities.
  • A strong work ethic and drive to get things done.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline existing accounting processes, whilst ensuring a strong financial control environment is always continued.
  • Welldeveloped quantitative, financial, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial and nonfinancial information.
  • Strong Excel and Xero skills as well as an inclination to pick up new systems easily.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Bachelor of Business Degree / Diploma in Accounting
  • Be able to file properly and follow the current processes and procedures
