  • The mission of Product Managers at Canva is to create the most accessible design tool for every person in the world. We believe that we can improve the world by empowering everyone to design and communicate visually. As a Product Manager at Canva you help set this vision, define what that future looks like, and build the products and features that get us there.
  • Product Managers collaborate with Canva's founders to set the strategic direction, scope, and success metrics for product initiatives. We work across teams of designers, software engineers, marketers and analysts to ensure we're delivering an exceptional experience to all our users. We are responsible for implementing and collaborating on product strategy, road mapping, and prioritisation as our product grows.
  • It's our responsibility to see products through their entire lifecycle—from concept through to validation, build, postlaunch analytics and iterations.
  • The User Growth group is one of three groups which make up the Product Growth Supergroup one of the biggest areas at Canva. Playing a critical role in Canva's mission to empower the world to design, the User Growth Group does everything from building exciting new products and features to running tonnes of experiments and conducting research and analysis to grow Canva in new markets and categories.
  • The group's strategy is based on three pillars:
  • 1) delight first time users
  • 2) increase frequency of use (so customers want to use more products, more often, for longer and across more platforms)
  • 3) improve our virality by building step change growth opportunities to ultimately grow our active user base.

About You:

  • You have a strong track record as a product leader, with experience growing products through a combination of innovative big bets and iterative experimentation
  • You have experience in and a passion for mentoring Product Managers to develop in their craft and coaching journeys
  • A strong communicator you can speak the language of engineering, data, design, operations and can coordinate crossfunctionally with each to achieve big wins
  • Strong UX skill set understands more than just the fundamentals of good UX, loves Canva's seamless and simple design and is going to be ruthless in protecting that.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the key levers to build and grow freemium SaaS products
  • Great with data (both qualitative and quantitative) and loves turning insights into actions
  • An ability to balance the art with the science balancing product vision and strategy with iterative optimisations along the way

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Develop and own the vision, strategy and roadmap for the future of User Growth at Canva
  • Serve as a domain expert on MAU/User Growth.
  • You will understand the complete landscape of our key channels, products and user segments
  • Lead and rally a group of 5 crossfunctional teams, made up of 50+ PMs, engineers, designers, marketers and analysts, towards our crazybig goals
  • Lead and coach a team of 4 product managers (with plans to onboard more PMs in the next year with your help)
  • Build relationships with teams all across Canva. In Product Growth, we specifically work super closely with our Product and Marketing counterparts to ensure we're all rowing in the same direction
  • You will build strategies to scale out the group and teams to set us up for success
  • Ensuring each product team is set up for success, with the right people, tools and projects. Unblocking them to ensure they can deliver on their goals
