We are currently in search of a skilled, customer-centric Finance Analyst to collaborate with our News, Operations, and Property teams on a fixed-term contract. This role offers flexibility to be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
This opportunity is ideal for a certified or partly certified (CA/CPA) individual with a background in various finance functions.
What You'll Be Doing as a Finance Analyst:
- Conducting month-end analysis and processing, involving P&L reporting and commentary
- Providing reports on discrepancies, projects, forecast submissions, international revenue, etc.
- Engaging in business collaboration to ensure expenses align with budget/forecast
- Supporting with Audit inquiries and accrual calculations
- Preparing and posting journals for approval
- Reviewing month-end outcomes and preparing commentary
- Holding tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance and being CPA/CA qualified (or nearing completion)
- Having at least 3 years of experience in diverse Finance areas
- Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills in business English
- Being highly proficient in MS Office
- Prior experience with SAP or Oracle is advantageous, as is familiarity with the Media & Entertainment sector
- Demonstrating a track record of being perceived as a reliable business partner by stakeholders
- Exhibiting strong decision-making abilities
