The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting to join our client's team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing accounting transactions, tax returns, and system administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting and Compliance
    • Manage accounting transactions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
    • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • System Administration
    • Manage and maintain the company's accounting systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of accountants and financial analysts
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role
    • Proven track record of managing accounting teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
