In this role you will be:
- Coordinating and managing the manual handling training program for Lismore Base, The Tweed Hospital and campuses.
- Developing, managing and driving the manual handling program in accordance with legislative and organisational policy requirements.
- Analysing data to identify strategies to reduce the number of manual handling injuries across Lismore Base and Tweed Hospitals.
- Developing Manual Handling Plans for The Tweed Hospital
- Providing a leadership role in manual handling, monitoring facility performance against mandatory training compliance, conducting Work Health and Safety (WHS) audits
- Providing advice and support to key stakeholders on WHS Regulations, Acts and Amendments, Hazardous Manual Tasks Code of Practice and ensure compliance.
- Assisting managers in identifying, assessing and controlling hazardous manual task risk minimisation strategies.
- Chairing Manual Handling Coordinator Committee meetings and lead manual handling coordinators in the delivery of training and education of manual handling to achieve mandatory training compliance.
