We are thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Technology Compliance Manager to be part of our dynamic Technology Risk team on an 18-month fixed-term position located in Sydney.

Join our Technology Risk team, which provides operational risk and compliance support to our Technology Business Unit, including regulatory compliance and the execution of Technology's controls assurance program.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that Technology is well-prepared to fulfill our new regulatory responsibilities related to CPS 230 and DORA. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Technology Business Unit, Line 2 Risk and Compliance team, and the Chief Operating Office in supporting these regulatory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the new prudential standard CPS 230 Operational Risk Management and establish a compliance profile for Technology, covering operational resilience, business continuity, material service providers, and operational risk profiles.
  • Support and oversee the execution of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), designed to enhance the ICT security of financial entities in the European Union (EU).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Technology and throughout the organization to identify, document, and map existing controls and risks to obligations, including identifying any gaps.
  • Stay updated on obligation changes and control enhancements.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in technology risk, operational risk, and/or compliance roles in the banking sector, with a focus on interpreting and applying regulatory requirements related to Technology. Exposure to CPS234 or CPG235 implementation is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and a practical problem-solving approach. The capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and make data-driven decisions is essential.
  • Background in developing, implementing, and monitoring regulatory obligations.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with varied management levels, provide suggestions, and drive change.
  • Adaptability to evolving needs and priorities, as well as the ability to navigate through uncertainty.
  • Capacity to thrive in a diverse team setting and work autonomously.
