We seek an experienced Finance officer, reporting to the Finance manager, who likes to take on challenges and is looking for continuous improvements.
This role will be a part of highly functioned Finance team representing a great culture and will be responsible for many finance, accounting and administrative functions for the Hospital including:- Raise Invoices to Commercial Tenants, Sleep Doctors, Clinical Trials, Lawyers, Green Energy plus others as required
- Follow up of outstanding Sundry Debtors and monitor organisational benchmarks
- Patient and Health Fund Refunds
- Maintenance of Tenants and Health fund register
- Making sure that patient management system is updated with regular changes into Health fund contract rates
- Reconcile Prosthesis, Accounts Receivable control accounts, Operating Bank account and Credit Cards
- Proactively working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve deadlines and bring improvements
- Prepare and monitor benchmark reporting for patients invoices
- Assist in comparing Health fund contracts rates
- Bringing automation and continuous improvement in system and processes
- Assist/backfill the accounts/Billing officers when needed
- Provide other general administrative/finance support as required
About you

- Experience in analysing transactional data and making recommendations to decisions makers
- Knowledge of general accounting and financial information systems
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals on a personal level and by telephone
- Willingness to embrace and demonstrate the values of the organisation
Previous experience in a similar role and/or a tertiary qualification in Accounting (or related discipline) / working towards a qualification is considered* desirable*.
