We are looking for an enthusiastic Workshop Planner to join our team at Casula

About the role
WesTrac is currently seeking a Workshop Planner to join our talented team.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, in this role as a Planner you will use proactive methods to obtain data, analysis and tracking to schedule and plan workload in line with resources and specified timeframes.


This key role is a critical position for maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding job requirements, parts requirements, job and technician status, and seeking feedback.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Branch Manager and relevant Supervisors through scheduling and demand planning reports to ensure variations of work can be managed effectively
  • Effective Work in Progress (WIP) management through turning WIP both in parts and service
  • Customer communication and visibility to job completion through transparent scheduling
  • Coordinate parts availability for planned repairs
  • Liaise with workshop supervisors on backorders for planned jobs and discuss reschedules
  • Drive continuous improvement to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the business

Skills & Experience

  • Practical experience in mobile equipment maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse information and identify continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated highly developed customer service skills
  • Mechanical Trade Qualification and previous experience with maintenance management for heavy mobile equipment (Desirable)
