Chancellor State College has two campuses; primary and secondary. Each campus has a principal who is accountable for the achievement of outcomes for each student. This includes a strong focus on National Assessment Program for Literacy And Numeracy (NAPLAN), the curriculum, learning and teaching, assessment and reporting frameworks that are directly related to each student's stage of schooling.

About the Role

As the Principal you will:

Play a vital role in delivering the vision of Early Childhood and State Schools Division. The leadership of principals is critical to improving the educational outcomes of students in their schools. Principals have a major influence on developing the quality of teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
In addition to the primary role of leading the school and its operations, Principals are expected to take a leadership role in the broader education and corporate arenas.

The Principal reports to the School Supervisor.
Relocation and travel expenses are not provided for acting positions however may be negotiated in circumstances requiring significant travel and relocation of residence.
About You
Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills and the ability to use those to influence the educational agenda for state schooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality organisational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated capacity to undertake, in addition to the successful leadership of a large and complex school, executive leadership roles in the broader education community and corporate arena.
