Role Overview


The Facility Support Administrator is the first point of contact for staff, customer and interested parties regarding site related issues, meeting room bookings and has overall responsibility for implementing the facility management plan end-to-end.

The role is responsible for the overall presentation of the facilities internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine appropriateness of facilities in relation to R&M, renovations or other upgrade requirements
  • Plan, coordinate and manage essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
  • Coordinate and manage all logístical activities within the facilities
  • Supervise the access to the facilities with clients, guests, contractors and suppliers.
  • Develop and conduct environmental site audits / inspections, prepare audit records / reports and ensure a safe working environment which comply with legislation
  • May be required to attend to some out of hours calls and emergency matters

You will be/have:

  • Working in/with Defence experience (highly regarded)
  • Service oriented individual with excellent communication skills
  • A selfstarter who can work independently as well as in a team environment and who has a track record of "getting things done".
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of business administration, project management, procurement, contracts, WH&S regulations
  • Knowledge of financial principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of the ADF and/or APS environment
  • Working knowledge of Defence Security

_as the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
