What you will be doing:
An exciting opportunity is available for a Dietitian to join the Community team on a temporary basis.

In this role you will manage and prioritise a clinical caseload with a high standard of clinical care utilising evidence-based practice to ensure timely access to services.

Provide holistic comprehensive assessment and education & information to clients, carers and staff regarding ongoing nutritional needs and community resources.


The occupant of the position is responsible for the provision of high quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetics Services for clients with chronic and complex health conditions within the community.

The Position provides Dietetic services in accordance with professional codes of ethics and NBMLHD code of conduct.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Australia
  • Uptodate knowledge and skills in nutrition and dietetic practice, including nutritional assessment, education and counselling for individuals in the community care setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of clients with complex, chronic and/or aged conditions with current experience as a clinical dietitian in the community setting an advantage.
  • Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, computer competence and ability to use electronic medical records, word processing and databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently, while managing a high volume workload.
  • Experience in nutrition related quality improvement projects focusing on improvements in clinical care and/or services.
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
