About the role

The Planning Customer Experience and Support Officer is generally the first point of call for all correspondence that comes to the Urban Planning department.

In this role you will provide administrative and customer service support to the Urban Planning department by ensuring work is completed within timelines to a high standard and in accordance with legislative requirements.


  • Key responsibilities include:_
  • Provide and maintain good quality and timely administration services for staff within Urban Planning
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Produce high quality correspondence, reports and other documents maintaining the required standard of presentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Undertake statutory administrative functions for all Urban Planning and planning enforcement processes.

About you

The following is also required:

  • Relevant administrative and customer service experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant IT systems and ability to learn new programs and software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise competing workloads.
