Job description: - The purpose of the role is to provide administrative and financial support to the Analytical Services Tasmania (AST) Business Unit, including providing support to the operation of AST's client reception functions and to the Manager, AST.The Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania is committed to investing in its people to ensure a sustainable and successful organisation through a positive workplace culture and highly capable employees. Hours per fortnight:
73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation)
Duties:
The purpose of the role is to provide administrative and financial support to the Analytical Services Tasmania (AST) Business Unit, including providing support to the operation of AST's client reception functions and to the Manager, AST.
Essential Requirements:
- The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a preemployment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with using Finance One or other similar financial accounting software.
- Knowledge of scientific terminology suitable to a testing laboratory or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
