The role you could play

We are seeking a Child and Youth Wellbeing Facilitator to partner with and provide social, emotional and wellbeing support.

You will be responsible for the delivery of child, youth and families wellbeing services within The Salvation Army Bellarine Peninsula, local primary schools and wider community.

Duties

  • Maintain administrative case notes, statistical input and data entry relevant to the role, meeting educational, organisational and government requirements
  • Provide a child safe environment in accordance with childsafe standards recognising diversity and individuality
  • Contribute to improving child, youth and family engagement connectedness
  • Administer the Safeguarding records keeping system for the Corps and ensures that leaders and volunteers have the required clearances
  • Engage in a mentoring program with experienced ministry leader
This is a max term part time position, until December 2023, 18 hours per week. This role is based in Bellarine Peninsula Clifton Springs, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 3 Award.

  • Minimum Diploma in Chaplaincy, Community Services and/or Youth Work
  • Relevant experience in implementing, facilitating and evaluating youth and/or children's programs
  • Experience in working with children and youth
