Your Role:


This role will be critical in supporting programs and initiatives aimed at creating higher quality, more equitable and inclusive early childhood programs, with a focus on kindergarten.

As the Principal Program Officer, you will

  • Support the implementation of a variety of programs, projects and initiatives for the kindergarten sector
  • Prepare communications for a range of audiences, including briefing materials
  • Engage in critical thinking and problem solving to achieve positive outcomes
  • Demonstrate accountability for the management of key initiatives through professionalism, persistence and transparency

About You:

  • Teaching experience in the early years;
  • Deep understanding of kindergarten contexts across Queensland;
  • Expert knowledge and practical experience with the Queensland kindergarten learning guideline;
  • Experience in task management, project scheduling and working to deadlines;
  • Experience in building strong relationships and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders; and
  • Availability to undertake travel throughout Queensland
