What does the job look like?

The Linfox Government and Defence business unit provides warehousing and distribution services to Government entities across Australia.

We are looking to grow our team with passionate and dedicated supply chain professionals who share our vision of operational excellence.

The National Business Manager is an ideal opportunity for someone who embodies the Linfox LIFT values of Loyalty, Integrity, Fairness and Trust to join a dynamic team and make a positive impact.


This senior leadership role is an incredible opportunity for an established supply chain professional to continue to develop the business and their own career.

Reporting to the General Manager - Finance and Commercial, you will be well positioned to execute the business strategy, assuming responsibility for financial and customer service performance and relationships.

You will rely on your strong leadership and effective commercial decision-making capabilities to drive improvement and deliver on our commitment to highly valued customers.


Key areas:

  • Provide commercial leadership with overall P&L responsibility, ensuring service delivery is in line with contractual requirements translating strategic priorities into operational reality
  • Proactive management of customer relationships facilitating growth through new customer integration and organic growth of existing accounts
  • Identifying, evaluating, and addressing operational and commercial risk, focused on driving improvement and innovation across the network
  • Drive productivity to maximise utilisation of resources throughout the operations, control costs, deliver service excellence and maintain a focus on strategic initiatives

Your ability to make effective commercial decisions in a fast-paced, complex supply chain environment and build strong relationships across all levels will be instrumental in driving the business forward.


You can demonstrate:

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement with an ability to build strong relationships across and effectively implement and manage supply contracts
  • Significant experience in operational management within supply chain with a demonstrable record of safety, operational and financial performance
  • Commercial leadership with understanding of financial drivers, cost control and operational budgeting
  • Process driven, analytical and methodical with a passion to drive continuous improvement
