What does the job look like?


Due to growth, the Linfox business is seeking an experienced Manager - Workers Compensation to join the team based at our corporate head office in Essendon Fields.


Supporting the General Manager Comcare & Commercial HR, you will play a pivotal role in managing the Claims and Rehabilitation functions under our Self Insurance Program as well as managing the compliance and administrative requirements of all 4 licenses that we hold.

No two days are the same in our business, and the role requires agility, resilience, flexibility, pragmatism, customer focus, and a strong work ethic

Key areas:

  • Providing leadership and strategic direction for the effective management of the workers' compensation and rehabilitation functions
  • Monitoring the performance of thirdparty providers
  • Monitoring conformance to Linfox license requirements in relation to privacy, claims administration, audit and the Licensee KPI and Target measures set by Comcare
  • Developing a strategy for best practice claims and injury management
  • Ensuring the delivery of a workers' compensation and rehabilitation program that is focused on continuous improvement, financial outcomes and operational excellence

You will have exceptional people and relationship management skills, underpinned by your ability to build trust and influence across a diverse range of stakeholders

You can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in workers compensation in a large organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders and staff to ensure the delivery of business objectives within a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of Comcare legislation and jurisdictional requirements and regulations is advantageous
  • The ability to support, coach and develop others
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
