About This Established NFP


This local Not for Profit organisation plays an integral role in the support sector by providing an array of support services tailored to the individual participant.

Taking a unique approach to how they provide their services/support, this company has expanded steadily, thus ensuring they can deliver on what they promise.


Operating as a registered NDIS Provider, they pride themselves on employing culture-fit team players, who work hard, are energetic, keen to develop and who will stay with the business for the long term.

With a key focus on employing the "right" people, they have created this new role which they feel will be paramount to their current/future strategic growth and ongoing support services.


About the Role


As their new Operations Manager, your role will focus on leading a high-performance team that spans all internal departments along with all service delivery teams.

Essentially this role incorporates coaching and mentoring team leaders and department managers as well as ensuring all deliverables align with strategy, quality and operational objectives.

The reality is that this is a new position and responsibilities will evolve, thus providing more variety and challenge.


Being part of the Senior Management team, you will be involved heavily in the strategic planning and future growth of this organisation.

The inclusive and open style of management within the company will provide you with a "breathe of fresh air" as they will value your contribution.

This is an autonomous role where you will be encouraged to contribute at many levels.

The one thing this business acknowledges is that they must listen to their team as every new idea has merit.

Not surprising, there is a wealth of stakeholder interactions you will be involved in. This includes internal staff, participants, families, external health care providers, etc.

  • Your ability to effectively manage relationships and seek quality outcomes will be one of your key performance indicators in this challenging role.


This role reports directly to a highly inspirational and passionate CEO who is eager to mentor and support someone that truly wants to make a difference.


About YOU
Being an open minded and progressive employer, they are not necessarily seeking "industry" experience.

If you have the right mindset and understand that this is a community service focused business and not a major corporate, you will be fine.

Being able to find the balance between providing a difference to a participant's life versus commercial realities is always a challenge.


Your previous experiences may include:

  • Solid Financial Management (Budgets, P&L etc.)
  • People and Performance management
  • Risk management
  • Strong business process and administration skills
  • A solid track record in community engagement and business development
  • Knowledge of the NDIS


This role is highly people focused and will require a person who has exceptional interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills, empathy and is at ease with building relationships with all stakeholders.


Remuneration and What to Do Now


Operating in the Not-for-Profit sector, this group is aware that they will have to offer a fairly competitive package to secure a quality person.

With this in mind, a package of around $120,000 to $130,000 is not out of the question.
