QA Officers Required
Their site in

Laverton North is going under rebuild processes and they are looking for a

Quality Assurance Officer to join their team and to get ready for their new production in asap.

Day shift: 4am - 1pm

Pay Rate: 31.88

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with production supervisors, employees, and site management to ensure conformance to company standards and specifications
  • Enforce quality standards, perform the necessary daily checks, and provide feedback immediately
  • Organise and drive process improvements
  • Conduct internal quality systems audits
  • Daily reporting as required
  • Follow up complaints and internal noncompliance issues
  • Daily GMP checks and report immediately on breaches
  • Monitor HACCP
  • Assist in micro sampling, micro swabbing, etc
  • Assist with the development and implementation of QA policies and procedures
  • Be an active and proactive member of the Quality Assurance team
  • Inform your manager immediately of any issues that may arise that will impact the Quality Assurance of the product

Requirements:

  • Experience in quality assurance within a food related discipline required (Poultry highly regarded)
  • Food Science/Microbiological background is essential;
  • Knowledge and experience working in and industry with HACCP Food Safety/Risk Management; SQF;CFMSR, ISO systems will be highly regarded;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced & challenging environment;
  • Report writing skills required;
  • Experience of electronic quality management system and production systems is highly desirable;
  • Ability to investigate and complete root cause analysis.
