The Division


The Transport Shared Services (TSS) Division provides services to more than 30000 internal customers, and services a further 300,000 external customers including Local Government representatives and citizens.

Over the last year, TSS has implemented a strategy to lead the direction of the organisation towards workforce digitisation, emphasising customer experience and growing the business's value proposition and services.


The opportunity


Right now, we have an opportunity for a
Change Manager to join us in the Corporate Services division of Transport for NSW.

This is a Fixed term full-time opportunity for a minimum of 12 months. Though the base location for the role is Burwood, we offer flexible working arrangements.

The Change Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the overall change approach for a portfolio of Transport Shared Services (TSS) service and business improvement projects being delivered as part of the broader TSS Program.

The Change Manager will also be responsible for contributing to the development of the overall change plan for TSS, alongside developing the change and communication plans for their portfolio of projects, liaising with project and BAU staff involved in the projects and overseeing the activities of change and communications analysts supporting their portfolio of projects.


What you will be involved in

  • Contribute to the development of the overall change management strategy for TSS.
  • Develop a baseline current state analysis for each project and work with key stakeholders to manage and track the impacts of change throughout each project within the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and implement an integrated change, communication and engagement plan for assigned project/s.
  • Input to project schedules, resource plans, risk and issues registers for assigned project/s, and monitor and report against progress
  • Coordinate and manage stakeholder engagement for the assigned project/s, consistent with the overall TSS program scope.
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver innovative, interactive and handson change strategies and plans designed to build change readiness for staff and the business.
  • Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar/related role including experience with both Agile and Waterfall project management delivery
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management skills at all levels
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written
  • High level negotiation, influencing and analytical / problem solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to prioritise workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Passion for the role with curiosity to learn more

Salary and Benefits


The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 9 ($142,178 to $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
