About the role
This is exciting opportunity for someone who has passion for quality and Age Care.

Based in our Wembley Residential Aged Care Home, Therapy Assistants form part of a larger team supporting people living their best lives.

Key responsibilities of this role is organising and assisting in therapeutic activities of residents.

It includes supporting residents to engage in a range of individual and group activities which assist in reducing social isolation.


About you
You are empathetic person with caring nature who can work in the fast-paced environment.

Your key experience will include:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Experience in Aged Care is essential (experience with supporting residents living with dementia would be advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently and actively participate as a team member
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • A willingness and ability to embrace the Values and ethical principles of MercyCare
  • Understanding of your own safety and others in the workplace
  • National Police Clearance (within last 6 months)
  • Evidence of COVID and Flu vaccinations (preferred)
