We are partnering with one of Bendigo' leading utility companies for an exciting Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator role.

Position overview


The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator will provide support, coaching and mentoring to the organisation by leading key HS&W projects.

You will be responsible for influencing and developing a positive HS&W culture across the organisation by implementing and delivering HS&W strategies and projects.


About the role
Key responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator will include:

  • Support and educate the organisation with HS&W
  • Drive a culture of continual process improvement and innovation
  • Promote a culture of reporting all incidents and develop and implement strategies to minimise the incidences, cost and harm caused through workplace incidents
  • Implement HS&W programs and provide advice in a manner that engages, encourages, and supports employees and managers
  • Advise the business on risk mitigation and safety strategies that not only maintain compliance with relevant legislation but a focus on best practice
  • Managing internal and external HS&W audits, and working with all areas of the organisation to implement improvements where identified
  • Report all safety incidents and hazards immediately
  • Taking reasonable care for own safety and that of others
  • Ensuring that the work environment is free from any form of discrimination, harassment or bullying
