Overview of the role


The Health Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator is responsible for strengthening the Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) capability and culture of the organisation by supporting and influencing the organisation together with leading key HS&W projects.


As an integral and autonomous member of the Coliban Water team, this role includes both strategic and operational elements and is responsible for influencing and developing a proactive and responsible HS&W culture across the organisation.

This will be achieved by developing and implementing HS&W strategies, delivering HS&W projects, and providing specialised support, guidance and solutions to the organisation.

A snapshot of your day

As our Health Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator, you'll be accountable for:

  • Building the HS&W knowledge and capacity of Coliban Water through the development and implementation of projects and initiatives
  • Support and educate the organisation in effective HS&W management, and drive a culture of continual process improvement and innovation
  • Implement HS&W programs and provide advice in a manner that engages, encourages and supports employees and managers
  • Managing internal and external HS&W audits
  • Working with all areas of the organisation to implement improvements where identified.

To be considered for the role, it would be nice to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HS&W projects, policies, procedures and strategies.
  • Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety combined with several years' industry experience, or equivalent workplace experience.
