Visit Victoria is the primary tourism and events company for the State of Victoria.
We inspire people in both the domestic and international markets, to visit Melbourne and Victoria through creative storytelling and enriching events.
Our role is to drive visitation and expenditure through destination marketing and a strong pipeline of major, regional, and business events to support the visitor economy.
We aim to build Melbourne and Victoria into Australia's number one tourism destination by delivering strong and sustainable growth across priority markets.
We all work together on our goal to revitalise the visitor economy, by generating $35 billion in annual visitor expenditure and supporting 300,000 jobs by June 2024.
About this Position
Exciting times at Visit Victoria, we've just appointed a new Head of People & Culture, and looking to expand the team further, we are currently in search for two talented People & Culture Business Partners to join our dynamic team.
The People & Culture Business Partners is a true generalist, that plays an important role in locally driving the delivery of our People & Culture strategy.
Working closely with the Head of People & Culture, the People & Culture Business Partners will cover areas of the overall People & Culture experience from recruitment, to onboarding, to performance and learning and culture.
This role will also closely partner with our Leadership and Management teams to drive strategies and tactical support to our people and our growth while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures are met.
The role
- Provide high level People & Culture advice, generalist support and coaching on a broad range of complex People & Culture issues and practices, building capability, and offering solutions in accordance with relevant procedure, policy, and legislation.
- Under the guidance and direction of the Head of People & Culture to provide internal and external stakeholders with timely advice on industrial and workplace relations matters and interpretation of Visit Victoria's Enterprise Agreement and related statutory obligations.
- Contribute and provide input into the People & Culture strategy and lead the implementation and execution of the People & Culture strategy and initiatives.
- Advise managers and colleagues on appropriate interventions relating to workplace relation issues and conduct where appropriate.
- Support the Head of People & Culture on organisational change implementation across the business including but not limited to creating change documentation, development of positions descriptions, supporting with formal meetings.
- Lead and develop a range of People & Culture initiatives and projects to support Visit Victoria priorities, including ensuring all legislative responsibilities are met.
- Collaborate strategies effectively with the Head of People & Culture to drive People & Culture initiatives and programs (e.g. in L&D, Leadership Training, Performance, Culture and Engagement initiatives).
- End to end management of the employee lifecycle including preparing employment contracts, managing the recruitment and selection process, preparing end of employment letters and coordinating exit interviews ensuring a highquality service for the business.
- Administer and maintain Visit Victoria's HRIS System and provide metrics to client base, People Leaders, and Leadership Team.

- Demonstrated experience and proven track record of providing HR operations and HR advisory services.
- 5 years' minimum experience in a Human Resources Generalist or P&C role in either Senior HR Advisor, Business Partner role with a Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant tertiary qualifications.
- A strong passion and interest of managing stakeholder training and presentation sessions.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering employee engagement strategies.
- Experience working in a fastpaced environment and thrive with competing demands.
- Experience with HR technologies i.e., Employment Hero with the ability to analyse data and provide insights to leaders in the business.
