About Specialist Clinics


Specialist Clinics provide planned non-admitted services that require the focus of an acute setting to ensure the best outcome for a patient.


Patients can be referred to Specialist Clinics by their GP or other community-based healthcare provider, our Emergency Department or from our inpatients units.


In all, there are 5 sites, across both Austin Hospital and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital campuses, that services over 900 patients per day, or, more 280,000 per year, which makes Austin Health Specialist Clinics one of the largest services in the state.


About you

The Divisional Manager will be a highly driven and innovative individual with a keen eye for process improvement opportunities. A team player who can motivate and advocate for inspired change. Supremely organised and capable of managing a range of projects, people and timelines - this position is looking for someone who is up for a challenge and likes to be involved in the inner working of a complex organisation.

Do you have experience in:

  • Planning for an operational area's ability to meet future service demand
  • Ensuring clinical safety, quality and care is based on consumer needs
  • Ensuring people are able to perform to the best of their ability within a broad clinical operational area
  • Ensuring the operational area's financial position is maintained and activity is within targets
