What you will be doing:

  • Provide clinical mental health interventions and care coordination to people with a mental disorder to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life
  • Assess, plan, implement, facilitate, and evaluate mental health care in collaboration with individuals, their families and carers, other health care agencies and the multidisciplinary mental health team to achieve quality consumer care outcomes
  • Provide interventions in a comprehensive, integrated and coordinated approach within a recovery orientated framework consistent with the NSW Mental Health Act.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing (Division 1) and including eligibility for membership of relevant professional body &/or full registration (if applicable) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Experience working in a Community Mental Health Treatment Team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 200
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Computer competence and literacy.
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
