ConocoPhillips Australia also operates the Australia Pacific LNG liquefied natural gas facility near Gladstone.

We are also an exploration company, with ongoing exploration occurring in the Bowen and Surat Basin in Central Queensland and new exploration in the Otway Basin along the southern coast of Australia to identify natural gas reserves for supply to Australian customers.


Job Opportunity:

Drilling SuperintendentThe Drilling Superintendent will report to the Drilling and Wells Manager and may be based in either Brisbane or Perth.

The selected candidate will be an integral member of the team planning and executing an exploration/appraisal program in the Otway basin.


Responsibilities Include:
Deliver top quartile HSE and operational performance.

Implement safe, environmentally sound and efficient drilling, well testing, and abandonment operations.


Ensure accurate reporting in Wellview through QA of reports on a daily basis with cost control and accounting in accordance with SAP procedures and guidelines.

Ensure regulatory and corporate policy conformance in all well operations.

Implement planned operations within the time schedule and funds budgeted.

Requirements:


A valid IWCF Level 4 certification for surface and subsea operations and offshore survival training completed prior to start date.

10+ years of offshore drilling with 2+ years of floating drilling operations.

Experienced in well operations disciplines, including COP best practices.

Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Prior experience planning and execution of an offshore exploration/appraisal drilling program.

You will be an experienced Drilling Superintendent with a proven track-record collaborating and engaging with multiple disciplines and functions, working knowledge of the Australian O&G sector, and experience with the Australian regulatory environment.
