Required to work across all MSPCS sites, however primarily located at Logan Community Palliative Care Centre, Redland Health Service Centre (RHSC), Corinda Community Palliative Care Centre or QE11 Hospital Palliative Care UnitThe Metro South Palliative Care Service, Princess Alexandra Hospital Division of Medicine are looking for a Permanent Full time and Permanent/Temporary Part time Bereavement Counsellor HP3(Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) position.

About the RoleManage an allocated workload to deliver bereavement counselling services, within the palliative care service including assessment, intervention and evaluation within an interprofessional team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of senior staff.

Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers and family, other health professionals from different disciplines, students and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.

Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities including completing and maintaining mandatory training requirements, participating in performance appraisal and development plans.
