About the role:


In this position, your main tasks include updating the database tool, automating processes, developing user-required solutions, and creating monitoring reports and dashboards.

You'll also support users with best practices and technical questions, share knowledge with the team, and handle some administrative tasks.

To succeed, you'll need experience with MSSQL, SQL, Git, and Git Hub, along with a proactive mindset and good communication skills.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and at least 5 years of relevant experience are required.
Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Jenkins, simplifying application design, and working with APIs is a plus.
This role is ideal for someone experienced, proactive, and skilled in database and technical tools.
What you'll do

The main remit of this role is to uplift the existing Database Inventory tool to ensure compliance/regulatory adherence.

Gain an understanding of the current application design and develop, implement, and support automation of existing common or complex activities, in order to simplify the design and processing.

Deliver solutions based on customers' requirements.
Design and build monitoring reports and dashboards for service observability.
Support users with best practices and technical queries.
Support the existing team and share knowledge where necessary.
Some extent of admin work, related to requesting items from other teams, managing workload, and change management processes.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

MSSQL Application Experience.
Good knowledge of refactoring Stored Procedures.
Writing and debugging complex SQL statements
Ability to work with Git and Git Hub.
Experience with a scripting or programming language.
Ability to understand and simplify database design.
Experience of Agile ways of working.
Ability and willingness to work independently.
Proactive mindset with a high sense of ownership.

Good verbal and written communication skills as the job role involves interaction with multiple stakeholders across the globe + Senior management.

Minimum 5 years of experience

An advantage would be having:
Experience with automation products such as Ansible and Jenkins.
Previous experience with application design simplification
Understanding of creating solutions that consume APIs.
