About the role


This is a key leadership role within Federation TAFE and will lead and embed student-focused teaching and learning areas within the Health, Community, Technology and Education Centre.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the following objectives:

  • ensure an exceptional student experience and excellence in teaching and learning;
- deliver training that supports community priorities through partnerships with industry, community and government;
- grow market share, diversify revenue, and maximise operational efficiency; and
- build a high performing and accountable team.

About you
The appointee will possess strong financial literacy and data analysis capability to inform decision making and drive accountability.

Additionally, skills and experience in planning, project management and risk management capability and a strong commitment to embracing new technology is critical.


The incumbent will be well-informed on the latest developments in the
VET sector and ideally come from a Health, Community, Technology or Education Services industry background.

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

  • expertise in strategic planning and operational implementation;
- ability to lead and manage staff;
- experience in driving strong financial performance;
- detailed understanding of the
VET environment; and
- proven ability to build and nurture productive and sustainable relationships/partnerships.
