Client:

Our client is an Engineering company providing specialist engineering, fabrication, construction, and maintenance services to many diverse industries

You the Mechanical Fitter:

Due to the high workload, they require a full-time Mechanical Fitter at their site on the Northern Beaches.

This position will involve mainly workshop-based fitting, fault finding & repair with some occasional site visits. Previous Fitters have come from a heavy machining, oil & gas, maritime, slurry / centrifugal pump, or conveyor background.

Perfect for someone located on the beaches.

  • Australian / New Zealand TAFE trade qualification OR an overseas HND / HNC equivalent.
  • 5 years of Mechanical Fitting experience.
  • At least 5 years of medium to heavy engineering experience.
  • Excellent hydraulic and pneumatic components knowledge.
  • Preferred experience dismantling and assembling industrial equipment, large Gearboxes, large Fans / Blowers, or similar.
  • Experience working with and assisting with QA / QC inspection teams
  • Forklift License (preferred) / White card.
  • Excellent communication and positive approach to work
  • No sponsorship, applicants must be an Australian citizen or a permanent residency
