Job Title:
Mechanical Fitter

Location:
Campbellfield, Vic

Shifts:
Day Shift - 6:00 am to 1:30 pm | Afternoon Shift - 2:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Flexibility required as start times may alter by 1 hour over a 6 week period.

Pay Rate:
$53.75 per hour (plus shift penalties) Overtime available

Employment Type:
Ongoing Casual with potential for Permanent placement

About Us:

Join a dynamic and growing team at our clients major operating site in Campbellfield, Vic. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to contribute to the success of our operations.

As a key player in our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in achieving and exceeding business objectives across safety, housekeeping, production, service, quality, and cost control.


Key Responsibilities:

Site HSE and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
  • Actively participate in HSE initiatives and programs.

Preventative Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on all plant and equipment.
  • Identify and address potential issues before they become critical.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimize equipment performance.

Service Production and Resolve Operational or Technical Issues:

  • Respond promptly to operational or technical equipment problems.
  • Execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively as a member of the maintenance team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Forklift license mandatory
  • Experience with Pneumatics systems
    Desirable requirements:
  • Working at heights (EWP license)
  • First aid
  • Confined space training
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Organisational and planning skills
  • Maintenance software systems experience
