About the role:
As the Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful network design, architecture, deployment, support, and operations of security technologies and systems for existing and new clients to industry best-practice standards.
You are considered as security technology specialist, focusing on NDR (Network Threat Detection and Response) and EDR (Endpoint Threat Detection and Response). You will need thorough understanding of infrastructure and application technologies, and exceptional knowledge of network topologies, and enterprise and telecommunications network technologies.
You will need to have significant exposure in pre-sales and professional services, and hands-on experience in security operations and technologies. Adaptability in both infrastructure and network security capability is paramount.
You will be working directly with clients to develop solution architecture within their cost parameters.

About you:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a System Integrator or MSP environment.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the design, build, and configuration of network infrastructure (including firewalls, proxy services, networking protocols, IP networking and security IPsec, DNS, and encryption)
  • Experience in the building and administration of security platforms.
  • Experience in the design and architecture of Network, Cloud, and Security.
  • Understanding of application, web, and internet security issues and threats.
  • Ability to liaise with clients in middle to senior management positions.
  • Experience in operations and deployment of large-scale network environments.
  • Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) products.

Your qualifications:

  • Cisco CCNP or CCIE Security certification required.
  • FortiNet certifications highly regarded.
  • A degree, masters, or bachelors in IT, particularly security, or an Engineering qualification in Penetration Testing, Vulnerability management, or Firewalls and IDS/IPS.
  • Excellent understanding of security technology including firewalls, web proxy, anti-malware, antivirus, endpoint security, load balancing, DDOS, IPVPN, IPS/IDS, IPSEC.
