Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Tesla Full time

What to Expect

The APAC Fulfillment Team is seeking an enthusiastic and driven colleague to take ownership of ensuring on-time inventory allocation and delivery for one or more of Tesla's Energy Product lines.

The team is part of the larger Global Energy Fulfillment department.

The role requires someone who can maintain a high level, end-to-end overview on the performance of all supply chain operations needed to fulfill an order while managing multiple stakeholders at the same time.

Due to the size of the organization, you will be dealing with many different kinds of (global) stakeholders.

This includes, and is not limited to, Sales Operations, Service, Material Planning, Warehousing, Logistics, Inventory Control and several IT teams.

Therefore, you should be able to deal with cultural differences and will need an international orientated mindset in order to succeed.

Besides monitoring the day-to-day operations, you will be expected to lead frequent business review sessions on your product line, align frequently with your stakeholders on forecast and incoming supplies, resolve issues and come up with improvement ideas related to scaling and/or reducing costs incurred with fulfilling an order.

You are ideally someone who is comfortable with making data driven analysis and reporting frequently to management.

What You'll Do

  • Be the main point of contact in APAC for your Energy product line on the performance of order fulfillment including fulfillment order release schedules and control
  • Actively participate in defining the road map for supplying and fulfilling orders on time together with your stakeholders, ensuring enough stock will be provided and flagging concerns where needed
  • Work together with your stakeholders to establish and improve endtoend processes while keeping scalability, efficiency and cost reduction in mind
  • Support warehouse and logistics operations by communicating projected fulfillment volumes and other changes that can impact the fulfillment flow
  • Respond to unanticipated changes, e.g. to fulfillment shortfall versus schedule or material shortages. In result providing updates, impact assessment and options to downstream customers, and revise fulfillment schedules as needed
  • Perform frequent analyses to for example monitor constraints, identify improvement possibilities or risks to delivery of materials versus demand
  • Take charge and be an active participant in multiple projects at once
  • Perform occasional system testing and help with development requirements writing
  • Support management where needed and become a trusted member of our organization

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor or Master degree in the field of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Manufacturing, Operations or Engineering, or in a similar field
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in Order Fulfillment, Order Management, Planning, Forecasting, Warehousing, Logistics or similar in an operational or business analytical role
  • Able to build bridges and communicate with different stakeholders with different needs and cultural backgrounds. Comfortable in giving presentations
  • Ability to spot process/visibility improvement opportunities and act on it. Can influence others to make and be part of the change
  • Good knowledge of Excel, knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau or Python is considered a plus
  • Proven project management experience and/or willingness to grow in this area
  • Not afraid to speak up and reach out, work independently and find the answers for yourself where needed
  • Proactive attitude and a "cando" mentality
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Passionate about accelerating the transition to sustainable energy
