About the role

The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Coordinatorto join their pre-construction team, working across all approvals for the pre construction stages. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager you will take ownership of the approvals process including assisting projects from tender, phase through to handover to construction teams. You will have experience liaising with consultants and clients. Possessing a strong technical understanding, you will also have in-depth knowledge of the building process and deliverables. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful initiation of construction projects by obtaining all necessary permits and approvals. Working closely with our project teams, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders you will navigate the complex landscape of pre-construction approvals and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Liaise with local government authorities, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate the approval process
  • Review construction plans and designs for compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other applicable standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, providing updates on the status of approvals and coordinating with other departments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve any compliance-related issues and ensure project timelines are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in construction project management, permitting, or regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop proactive solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software preferred.
