**The Role**

Reporting to the Manager Resource Recovery, you will be based at Council’s Waste Management Facility and responsible for managing day to day operations at Council’s Waste Management Facility to ensure that site operations are managed in a sustainable way to meet budget expectations and environmental requirements whilst improving the customer experience.

This role will require you to be able to commit to a rotational weekend roster.

**About You**

You will be an experienced leader, with previous experience in in the landfills and waste management industry or in mining, quarry, construction, demolition, or other heavy industry. You will have experience managing industrial relations matters and will have excellent organisation skills. You will be able to make decisions and judgements autonomously.

**Essential Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in Waste Management or related discipline such as Project Management and/or demonstrated experience in landfills and waste management industry or a similar field
- Class C Drivers Licence and NSW WorkSafe White Card

**Highly Regarded**
- Experienced in the management of a landfill facility
- Experience in dealing with, and maintaining documentation associated with submissions to waste facility licencing authorities such as NSW EPA
- Demonstrated ability to present concise and accurate reports on matters affecting waste management for the city area
