The Production Team is expanding in response to increased production quantities and product complexity.

DroneShield is looking to recruit a Production Officer who will help to keep production on track, ensure products are built to a high standard and the production area remains compliant.


The position will report primarily to the VP of Design and will work closely with the Production Team, members of the Operations Team and the Procurement Team.

This role will suit someone with excellent attention to detail and a passion for technology who wants to develop their career in a fast moving ASX listed defence technology company.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure the latest documentation is printed and provided for new production batches
  • Ensure equipment and tools within the production area are calibrated on time and organize the repair/replacement of damaged or out of spec. equipment
  • Keep production area organized
  • Maintain a clear distinction between production and R+D tasks
  • Maintain various registers within the production area (for example, Safety Data Sheet register)
  • Generate NCRs where needed and manage the resolution of quality issues with suppliers
  • Collate feedback from the Production Team and communicate with various departments within the Tech Team
  • Identify inefficiencies and recurring issues and develop solutions and improvements to process
  • Ensure production timelines are accurate and communicate delays or issues to the team
  • Schedule kitting tasks and manage priorities to minimize downtime on the production floor

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a production environment preferred but not necessary
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Design, or similar field preferred but not necessary
  • Experience with Odoo or similar ERP system preferred but not necessary
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fastpaced team
  • Respect and appreciation of process, doing the right thing even if noone is watching
  • Strong ability to multitask, meet deadlines and handle pressure
  • Clear communication (both verbal and written) with team members and suppliers
- "Can do" attitude and willingness to help in variety of tasks, including occasional tasks unrelated to the core role
