( ) )High Risk Offender Management Unit; Community Corrections; Community Corrections & Specialist Operations; BrisbaneThe High-Risk Offender Management Unit (HROMU) team based in the Brisbane and Townsville region is responsible for the supervision of offenders subject to a supervision order pursuant to the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 (DPSOA) residing throughout Queensland and the electronic monitoring of offenders on parole.

It comprises of the following work groups:
HROMU Strategic Risk and Support, including the Clinical Support Unit;HROMU Operations SEQ, operating from WacolHROMU Central to Far Northern, operating from Townsville and;


The Electronic Monitoring and Surveillance Unit (EMSU), responsible for the Statewide GPS monitoring of DPSOA offenders and offenders subject to Parole Supervision.

The essential requirements for this role are:
*Experience and understanding of case management in a human services field*Community engagement, key stakeholder liaison and/or working with special interest groups*Experience in monitoring, evaluating and reviewing service provision and case management in a human or correctional service*Strong management capabilities with the ability to motivate, coach, mentor and encourage others to meet high standards*Interpretation of complex legislation*Demonstrated ability and understanding of offender assessment intervention and treatment planningQualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements*Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications for this position, tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as management would be highly desirableHow to applyTo be considered for this role, please provide the following information to the selection panel for assessment of your suitability:*A cover letter (1-2 pages maximum) outlining how your knowledge, skills and experiences make you a competitive candidate against the Leadership competencies for Queensland (Team leader): Vision, Results and Accountability within the context of the essential requirements 'role fit' and responsibilities described under 'about the role'.*Your current curriculum vitae/resume, including two referees who can attest to your performance and conduct in the workplace. Referees should have a thorough knowledge of your capabilities, work performance, and conduct within the previous two years, and it is preferable to include your current/immediate/past supervisor.
