Team Leader to lead, coach and develop an assigned team of Diesel Technicians.

This role is based at our Laverton Service Workshop, working a 7x7 roster.

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, this role will be responsible for:

  • Supervising the workmanship and performance of the team
  • Driving safety awareness and maintaining the established contamination control culture
  • Manage the flow of work and resources to ensure quality outputs to meet customer expectations
  • Liaising with Service Supervisor on scheduled or job variations in order to keep customers updated on job progress
  • Closely monitor repair to meet quoted times
  • Lead Safety Interactions/Meetings
  • Assist with Loading/Unloading of Plant Machinery
  • Assist with developing quotes for machine repairs
  • Work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator to minimise expense and maximise profitability.

ABOUT YOU
You will be a true leader, who is ambitious and thrives on motivating and inspiring a team of professionals. You must be a trade qualified Diesel Technician with strong earthmoving industry experience.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician
  • Previous supervisory / leadership experience
  • Highly developed communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise with customers, peers, coworkers and all levels of management
  • Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
