Overview of the role


The Commercial Leader will execute on key strategic negotiations and construct commercially viable contracts working in conjunction with Group Legal and Group Procurement and ensure industry best practices are continually embedded for standardization.


This 6 month fixed term contract will be responsible for ensuring that businesses adhere to regulatory and legal requirements through the commercial contracts and act as a trusted advisor for business functions and strategic Partners.


You will be part of a close-knit team where no two days are the same, offering plenty of variety, allowing you to be involved in a range of activities and with senior executive level exposure.

You will work closely with partners, commercials and across the business.

What you'll do:

Commercial Management:

  • Manage and maintain all Business Partnering commercial activities
  • Manage monthly reporting of Partnering footprint
- their movements covering growth and decrease and why.

  • Manage operational and strategic commercial instruments
  • MSA, Pricing Deed/ Rate Cards, SOWs and CRs
- overseeing content to ensure adherence to MSA T&Cs and that there is no compliance or regulatory breaches.

  • Oversight of the commercial portfolio across the Business Process Outsourcing and Robotics engagements across the Group.
  • Provide data driven information to assist the Leadership team to help with their discussions and negotiations with Partners and the business to facilitate outcome based contractual opportunities.
  • Operationalise contract / rate negotiation outcomes
  • Manage partner relationships across BPO
  • Being a trusted advisor to business stakeholders
- continue to maintain the established Commercial expert position

Compliance to Policies and Procedures:

  • Take accountability for efficiently managing all commercial and contractual pipeline of work
  • Participate in Partner negotiations driven by contractual, commercial and compliance specific requirements
  • Be accountable for contract execution processes
  • Manage and maintain the structured review and sign off process with clear timelines and accountabilities for each party involved and ensuring alignment with relevant Policies and Frameworks

What you'll bring:

  • 3 to 5 years appropriate industry experience in Financial Services (mandatory)
  • Knowledge and involvement in business process outsourcing (BPO) or IT outsourcing (ITO) is desirable, an interest in developing experience in this area (mandatory).
  • Min. 23 years Partnering experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge, involvement in Insurance/Banking products and associated business drivers (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Outsourcing contractual and commercial arrangements (highly desirable)
  • Experience in influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, and delivering quality outputs within tight timeframes (mandatory)
  • Strong written communication skills, combined with Excel and Powerpoint
