ABOUT THE POSITION


The position of Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of the plasma cutter, overhead gantry crane and where needed forklifts to achieve efficient, on time and quality cutting for supply.

The successful applicant will need experience in a similar role working with steel and fabrication materials.

FULL-TIME POSITION

ABOUT YOU

  • 2 years experience in a production, maintenance, warehouse or similar industrial environment.
  • Previous experience in operating plasma cutter and overhead gantry crane is desireable, but not essential
  • High Risk Work Licenses (Forklift and Dogman).
  • Experience in manual handling
  • Highly skilled autonomous operator
  • Ability to interpret and work off nests
  • Ability to measure using various types of measuring equipment (Vernier, calliper's and micrometers)
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Plan workload to achieve daily targets
  • Give significant attention to detail
  • Maintain the highest safety standards
  • High level organisation skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
  • Clear problem solver, proven ability to understand and deal with difficult questions or situations.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to attain and retain fitness for work (including clear Drug and Alcohol Screens)
  • Currently have the right to work in Australia
  • Pass a Police Check

ABOUT US


Precision Oxycut is a division of Sell & Parker (an Australian owned private company) and has been offering steel plate profiling and processing services since 1970.

The company stocks a large range, in different steel plate grades between 3mm-300mm, and operates the largest dedicated steel plate profiling and processing facilities in NSW.

Between our Sydney and Carrington plants, Precision Oxycut has the joint capacity to cut over 40,000 tonnes of steel plate per year.
