Excellent opportunity to work with my client in the financial sector looking for a cyber security specialist with experience in managing critical incidents within an enterprise environment.


IMPORTANT:

This role is a full time (37.5 hours) contract that will require night shift / weekend work on a roster basis.

Any night or weekend shifts will be conducted working from home.

Responsibilities:

***- Field incoming indidents and manage their resolution in a timely manner.

  • Ability to run and coordinate major incident investigation.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, Azure, AWS, Trend Micro, Proofpoint enauk security and Splunk SIEM.
  • Understating & following the security incident response process document.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly cyber security reporting.
  • Triage of escalated security events, in depth event review and analysis where appropriate including ability to troubleshoot an event, research the potential cause, and recommend a course of action.
  • Drive monitoring of security events using a Splunk SIEM and other feeds, looking for significant events, and processing reports of unexpected network activity.

What you will bring:

  • Previous demonstratable experience within a similar role i.e. Cyber security analyst, senior system administrator in a business facing technology capacity.
  • Proficient knowledge of ServiceNow.
  • Familiar working under a ITIL and ISMS principles and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication that is able to work efficiently within a team environment as well autonomously.
  • Either a Tertiary qualification in an Information Technology discipline or ITIL / Cyber Security certification (CEH, CCSP, SANS or OSCP).
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Information Technology, MCP, MCITP, A+, or proven experience in Service Desk/Operations is preferred but not essential.
