About the Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, Workplace Compliance, this role will be vital in supporting the implementation of robust HR policies, procedures, and governance to maintain best practice employment contracts and workplace processes.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring consistency and compliance with Fair Work Instruments and the Fair Work Act, enhancing our organisation's workplace compliance framework.

What you'll be doing Developing and maintaining a centralised repository of best practice workplace documentation, including policies, procedures, and employment contracts Establishing and overseeing monitoring and auditing frameworks to enhance ongoing compliance and consistency across the organisation Implementing communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about decisions and updates flowing from the function Continuously improving and updating workplace policies and employment contracts, ensuring they remain compliant with the latest legal requirements Providing expert advice and serving as an escalation point for compliance queries related to policies, contracts, and instrument interpretation Collaborating with Serco's business unit focussed ER teams, onboarding, payroll, and Governance & Compliance teams to enhance overall compliance with workplace laws About you You are a proactive and knowledgeable professional with a strong background in employment law or employee relations requiring technical expertise.

You excel in environments that require strategic thinking and meticulous attention to detail.

With excellent interpersonal skills, you are capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a range of stakeholders and are committed to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.

Your ideal skills & experience Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor with 3+ years' Post admission experience (desirable).

Minimum of 3 years in an employment law role or ER role, with hands-on experience managing complex compliance issues Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and compliance best practices Proficient in using research databases and MS Excel Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and adept at managing projects and multiple priorities About us – Serco & proud At Serco, not only is the nature of the work we do important, but everyone has a vital role to play from caring for vulnerable people to managing complex public services.
