Make a Meaningful Impact

As the Manager of Compliance & Industrial Relations, you will report to the Head of Employee Relations. Your role involves supporting various compliance matters and initiatives to simplify existing processes. You will also handle industrial relations including negotiations for enterprise agreements.

This position is pivotal in promoting a positive work environment, reducing legal risks related to employee and industrial relations issues. It is a newly established role to assist the Heads of Employee Relations in key compliance and strategic tasks.

The role provides room for the successful candidate to shape it, with a primary focus on:

  • Providing guidance on compliance matters such as wage reviews and adapting to legislative changes
  • Training and informing stakeholders on compliance updates
  • Evaluating compliance gaps, risks, and improvement strategies
  • Interpreting and advising on employee issues and legal requirements
  • Overseeing industrial relations strategy and leading enterprise agreement negotiations

Your Qualifications:

  • Legal qualifications and experience in employment law (preferably in-house) are advantageous
  • Hands-on experience in employee relations
  • Strong industrial relations background is desirable
  • Previous experience in a regulated, financial, or legal setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant workplace laws, regulations, and enterprise bargaining
  • Ability to engage in all aspects of the role, including detailed work
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Your Team:

You will be part of a specialized team contributing significantly to the Bank's operations. Led by two Heads of Employee Relations, you will receive strategic guidance and support as needed.

You will also collaborate with a dynamic Human Resources team, a group of experts working towards the best outcomes for the Bank.
